2–5 Years

STEM discovery

An afternoon club for children who want to take things apart. Water, ramps, magnets, circuits and a lot of testing what happens if.

What a day looks like

A club rather than a room. Children come from across the nursery for an afternoon of building, pouring, rolling and breaking things, and nothing is demonstrated before they have had a go at it themselves.

What your child will learn

  • Testing ideas

Guess first, try it, see what happened — the actual shape of science, at nursery scale.

  • Building

Ramps, towers, bridges and the negotiation of who gets the long piece.

  • Measuring

Heavier, longer, faster, more — comparison before number, which is the right order.
